Every place we ask for it is a web form at the salon website, filled in by the person who owns the number, with a checkbox that is unchecked by default: setting up a client account, the contact form on our public site, our first-visit booking form, and the text-reminder switch in account settings. Consent is stored with a timestamp, and every sender checks that record before a message goes out, so a number that reaches us any other way is never texted.

The box on the account form reads:

"Text me appointment reminders and salon updates at this number. Message rates may apply, reply STOP anytime."

The box on our public contact form reads:

"Text me about my visit at this number. Message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out anytime."

The box on our first-visit booking form reads:

"Text me about my first appointment at this number. Message and data rates may apply, reply STOP anytime."

Consent can be withdrawn at any time in account settings or by replying STOP.
